About

Visit the Townview Media Center ONLINE or come see us on the 3rd floor, just up the main stairwell. We are the heart of all six magnet schools at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, and have a little something for everyone. We love keeping up with the hottest new YA books for both fiction and manga lovers, plus an amazing collection of nonfiction titles on current issues, significant figures (biographies), and the classics. Reading on demand is also possible by exploring our ebooks and audiobooks in the SORA app.

Don’t see anything you want? Scan or click to let the librarian know.  We add new books EACH fall semester.

A library is never just books, and the Townview Library is your central stop for the best research sources, project help, and a safe place to get away from your hectic schedule (just for a moment). In need of support, ASK your librarian.

Other ways to connect with the library, join the TMC Library Google Classroom for book recommendations, bookish news, tech tips, and more, or participate in the TMC Library Book Club after school.

MEET YOUR LIBRARIAN

Ms. LaShonda Roberson - Media Specialist

Ms. Roberson is DallasISD proud, having attended R.L. Thornton elementary in South Oak Cliff, Longfellow middle school in North Dallas and graduating from Skyline high school in East Dallas.  I am passionate about lifelong learning and very excited to work with students related to Information Literacy, Technology Applications and developing habits that support a growth mindset.

Ms. Roberson advocates for all forms of literacy, and develops/curates the library collection with academic and personal interests in mind. As a media specialist, she plans and coordinates programs to serve everyone in our local learning community and her hobbies include reading books and reading X posts (formerly Twitter) or going on information deep-dives. Exploring other cultures via music, food and stories keeps my mind active and I also enjoy tinkering with graphic design and DIY projects using Canva and Cricut.
